The Town & Country Builders Difference:

Thank you for taking the time to inquire about Town & Country Builders.  We've been family owned and operated in the Grand Rapids area since 1973.  Our business ethics and attention to detail has propelled our company through three generations of home remodelers and into the new millennium.

In the past three decades a few things have changed.  Today, we're called "remodelers" rather than "carpenters" as it identifies our profession more clearly.  We also use improved  materials and tools that save us time and labor.  But, as far as we are concerned one thing has never changed...our down to earth approach with our customers.

Here, at Town & Country Builders, we treat our customers as we would want to be treated by keeping them up to date with progress and schedules, educating them on current practices and trends, suggesting possible alternatives, and simply steering our customers in the right direction without losing site of their vision.

New Federal EPA Renovation, Repair, and Painting Law Effective April 2010:

 Dear Valued Customers:

Just a quick note to make everyone aware of a new Federal law that will take effect on April 22, 2010 concerning all homeowners, landlords, daycare providers, and schools.

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recently passed and implemented the Renovation, Repair, and Painting Rule 40 CFRPart 745 Subpart E.  The law states that beginning April 22, 2010 Federal law will require contractors that disturb lead-based paint in homes, day cares, and schools be certified and follow specific work practices to prevent lead contamination.

What this means to you is additional cost depending on the size and scope of your project.  As a company in this industry, we are still trying to figure out exactly what the final cost will be to you for your remodeling project.  Low estimates range from 5% to 8% and some estimates are as high as 25%, again depending on the size and scope of your project.

We at Town & Country Builders have met all of the EPA criteria and are currently certified remodelers with the EPA through additional training and specialized education in order to continue to provide you, our customers, with our 37 years of experience in building and remodeling.  We’ve been around longer than 99% of the other companies out there.

That being said we would like to offer you the opportunity to save some money now, before the law takes effect, on your remodeling projects.  Please give us a call at 453-1507 and schedule for a free no obligation estimate today.

Sincerely,

Mark Raymond
